Offline-first LMS for the RADOBOT program

RADOBOT is the robotics program of the Raiduha charitable foundation (Radooga): a summer camp plus regular clubs in cities hosted by partner organizations. We built a custom learning platform to replace a rented service: lessons work on tablets without internet, and the foundation's teaching content is protected from copying.

Context

Kids assemble models following step-by-step slides on tablets; classes are led by a teacher with volunteer assistants. But the clubs work in cities where internet and power are unstable — and the rented LMS didn't work offline at all, served slides as plain images, and knew nothing about attendance journals, kids' statuses or donor reporting.

The task

Build a custom platform around the foundation's model: lessons open offline, slides don't leak as files, teachers prepare for classes and keep the journal, and the foundation sees cities, groups, partners, schedules and reporting in one system.

What we built

Offline student app

A PWA: the lesson is downloaded in advance and fully works without internet. Slides are stored encrypted (AES-GCM) and rendered to canvas — they can't be downloaded or saved as images.

Teacher workspace

Lesson preparation (text → video → quiz → practice), one-tap attendance journal, and rescheduling or cancelling a class with a reason.

Foundation admin panel

Kids, teachers, groups, programs, partners, schedules and online meetings — with the partner directory synced from the CRM.

Reporting for the foundation and donors

Held, rescheduled and cancelled classes, plus reach across kids' status categories — exported in one click.

Teacher Telegram bot

Email-based identification, access delivery, broadcasts and team polls right in the messenger.

Team onboarding

Online courses for teachers and volunteers on the same platform: 2 courses, 33 lessons; 85 people are in training before classes start.

RESULT

The foundation got its own platform instead of renting one: 923 slides of teaching content work on tablets without internet, 149 teachers and volunteers are in one system instead of spreadsheets and chats, and the team is going through standardized training before classes with kids start in August.
